Sunday Pleasure Drive

Highlighting the morning of our final day is the Presentation Pleasure Drive through beautiful Mendon Ponds Park. Carriages leave Walnut Hill Farm at 9:00 am, heading south on West Bloomfield Road. They will turn right on Canfield Road, then travel down Canfield Road across the intersection at Douglas and South Wilmarth Road. They will then turn left and head down Hopkins Point Road where they will rest near the Hundred Acre Pond before heading back along the same route. Carriages return to Walnut Hill Farm at approximately 10:30 am.

This is a true Sunday morning pleasure drive from another era! The public is invited to stand along the route, bring breakfast and coffee, watch the horse and carriages drive by, and take photos. For an idea of what the spectator experience is like, this video captured some highlights.

Later that morning, the Rochester Scottish Pipes and Drums will make their annual appearance at Walnut Hill Farm. Finish your shopping at the Carriage Lane Boutiques, and as the noon hour approaches, the crescendo builds as the afternoon classes all lead to the coveted Walnut Hill championships.
